The Periodontists

The Periodontists at Pritlove-Carson Associates in Windsor, Berkshire, all qualified in general dentistry prior to gaining post-graduate Master of Science qualifications in Periodontics. All are on the General Dental Council’s list of Specialists in Periodontics.

Dr Sandra Pritlove-Carson
LDS BDS Hons. (Lond.) MSc (Perio.) MRD RCS (Eng.)

Sandra qualified from The Royal Dental Hospital, London in 1984 and after several years in general practice combined with post-graduate training, gained her Masters in Periodontology in 1989 at Guy’s Dental Hospital, London - winning the prestigious Fish Prize for Research. She has also had various papers on Guided Tissue Regeneration published internationally.

She is a member of the British Dental Association, British Society of Periodontology and Royal College of Surgeons, England. She is also on The General Dental Council's Specialist List.

Her private practice has been exclusive to Periodontics since 1991, during which time two specialist referral practices have been established.

Dr Judy Aldridge Taylor
BDS (Lond.) MSc (Perio.) MRD RCS (Ed.)

Qualified from University College Hospital, London in 1980 and completed her post-graduate training in Periodontology in 1990 at Guy’s Dental Hospital London. Judy has developed her own Specialist practice in the City of London, and has had many years of teaching undergraduates at Guy’s Hospital. Research interests have included published papers on Diabetes and Cardiology in relation to Periodontitis.

Dr Elizabeth Martinelli
BDS (Lond.) MSc MClinDent (Perio.) MFDS RCS (Eng.) MRD RCS (Ed.)

Qualified from the Barts & London School of Dentistry in 2001 and gained experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery before embarking on the post-graduate training programme in Periodontology at Guy’s Dental Hospital. Training and inclusion onto the Specialist Register was completed in 2009 and currently a teaching post is held at Guy’s Dental Hospital in addition to private practice commitments. Research has led to publications on Periodontitis and attitudes to smoking.

The Dental Hygienists

Our Dental Hygienists play an integral role in the education, motivation and support for periodontal patients. Direct referrals may also be made to our Hygienists for routine periodontal maintenance.
